Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing: The Last American Manual Super Sedan

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a car that should not exist in 2026 — a 668-horsepower supercharged V8 sedan available with a six-speed manual transmission. Yet here it is, and it is spectacular.

The hand-built 6.2-liter LT4 V8 with a 1.7-liter Eaton supercharger produces 659 lb-ft of torque. The manual transmission features active rev-matching and a no-lift-shift feature that maintains boost pressure during gear changes. The 0-60 mph sprint takes 3.4 seconds.

The Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 suspension and Performance Traction Management system provide exceptional chassis control. The carbon-ceramic brakes are standard — as they should be on a car of this capability.

With production ending soon, the CT5-V Blackwing represents the end of an era — the last American luxury super sedan with a manual transmission. Prices start at $95,000.
